Good morning VA Maine Community Partners,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to personally invite you to participate in our Veterans and Community Connection Expo, which will be held at Cabela's on November 2nd. We sincerely apologize for the short notice; however, due to the recent lapse in appropriations, our efforts to coordinate this event have encountered some delays.
As you may be aware, the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) is currently closed due to the shutdown. Despite these challenges, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is stepping in to ensure that the event can proceed as planned for our Veterans and their families.
We would greatly appreciate your participation in this important event. Your presence and support will provide invaluable resources and connections for our veterans and community members.
Please respond to this email and be sure to include both Christina Smith and I, if you are able to be a resource provider at this event by COB, Friday, October 17th!
Attached is the flyer for the event in Scarborough on Sunday, November 2,2025.
VA Maine will be holding ONE planning meeting with community partners on 10/30/2025 from 2:30pm-3:00pm. A calendar invite will be sent later today.
